Biography —
Noah Cain is pursuing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kansas, where his research focuses on computational fluid dynamics and reduced-order modeling for rotating detonation engines. He earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2024, where he conducted undergraduate research on supersonic wind tunnel modeling that led to the co-authorship of a journal publication. At KU, Noah works in the Computational AeroPropulsion Laboratory, studying non-adiabatic wall eects and developing methods to reduce the computational cost of high-fidelity propulsion simulations. He also serves as a team lead on the Jayhawk Rocket Propulsion Design Team, helping develop the fluid delivery system. After completing his Ph.D., Noah plans to apply his experience in CFD, combustion, and rocket propulsion to the development of advanced aerospace propulsion technologies.
